Color Me Reverend

Men, you know that hymn that goes,

"Welcome, rejoice and come in...
today will be a joyful day!
Etc.
Don't be afraid of some change,
don't be afraid of some change,
today will be a joyful day,
welcome, rejoice and come in!"

color for men
You know what this guy is singing?

"Don't be afraid of some color!
Don't be afraid of some color!
Today will be a joyful day...!"

Really, though.
Why all the grey, blue, black and brown? Why, for the Love of God, all the plaid flannel?

Isn't this lovely, yummy, handsome and welcoming? Don't you feel cheery just being around some color?
colorformen2 Doesn't that pink inspire confidence and faith in you? It does in me.

And you know this is not my way of saying that it's okay to wear ugly pastel golf shirts or Hawaiian shirts. Or madras shorts, either, for that matter.

Really? I thought he wore yellow quite well, and it IS a very difficult color. White women should TOTALLY avoid it unless they're under 25 and creamy-gorgeous items. A nice canary yellow looks amazing on dark skinned people.

I concurr on color - I notice and pay more attention to a man in a color that compliments him and is one that I like. That second picture with the dark rose is a great color.

I think part of the challenge for many men (and not a few women) is to know when to freshen the wardrobe and let old and formerly wonderful shirts go to the thrift shop or be reserved for around the house. A previously bright but now faded button down needs to be retired.
