PB Goes Bye-Bye To NYC PDQ

Darling and sweet ones,

Sorry to have been so remiss, and to not have kept up with your wonderful comments and questions. PeaceBang is juggling so many things, including, just now, an incipient head cold that she is going straightaway to bed to try to kill in its infancy.

Since she is heading to the Big Apple on Thursday to share in some Christian fellowship and to become deeply inspired by the big city fashionistas (how DO those girls tromp around the city streets in such high heels?), PeaceBang will leave you to savor her archives for the time being. She hopes to return this weekend extremely refreshed in the Holy Spirit and with loads of hot tips for you.

Meanwhile, God bless your hearts, and exfoliate.

Should you stop by the comments before you head to the Big City, just a quick note to tell you of your powers. I'm just now packing for a trip east to Washington, DC, to witness the investiture of my denomination's new Presiding Bishop (a woman, which is a first for us). And for this unquestionable EVENT, I am packing a lovely suit, my clerical collar (we are Episcopalian, after all), and shoes with a 2" heel. This wouldn't be of much note except that I'm 6' tall and normally consign myself to flat shoes and available ditches. No more! I will don a respectable heel and tower above the crowds, gazing upon them with a peaceful mien, secure in the knowledge that looking good knows no limits -- vertical or otherwise. Thanks be to you, PeaceBang, for inspiring this height of rebellion.

I am not going to the investure (nursling boy at home) but I am going to (an Episcopal)clergy meeting today with an outfit prepared with peacebang in mind--and with sleeves tailored to FIT my short arms and shoes appropriate to the occasion.I even scrubbed my collar with toothpaste!

Thanks for being such an inspiration. I'm taking a break from paid ministry to care for our young children, so I'm quite disinclined to do much for my appearance--at least I was. Thanks for challenging the notion that it doesn't matter how I look, or that looking scruffy somehow means I'm working harder!

You are indeed the William Sledd (do you watch him on Youtube?) of the ordained set!

Thank you all for your wonderful testimonials! I don't know who William Sledd is -- do tell!

Blessings on your beautiful selves!

PeaceBang!

A favor, dear lady: Upon your safe return, could you please educate on the importance of proper undergarments? I saw a woman in a beautiful suit today with a lovely clingy shell. Unfortunately, she hadn't gone to Nordy's for their expert advice on foundational garments, and gravity was making itself unattractively known. Slips, too-- why have people forsaken the slip?!

And while you're at it with the undergarments, PB, how about a tutorial on boots? I get qualms whenever I even think about buying boots, even though I love them on others. What to wear them with? High heel, low heel, or flat? Short boots or tall boots? What color? How many pairs?

Your fans want to know...

Mrs.M, my sweet, you have but to scroll the archives to find many posts on undergarments. I'll see what I can add.

And boots are coming right up!
