SisterBang, this is for you. I added some photos:

If you get Mr. Beekman and Margot, I'll get Tim Gunn. And they can all have playdates over the summer.

The Adorable Parker's best friend in the Rose City was a rescue dachshund named "Adolf" -- long, funny story about how he got his name, which I'll tell you some time in person (if I haven't already told it to you a dozen times already) -- but the upshot is that it took two honest-to-god lawyers to save him from death row, and his favorite outfit was a doggie tee-shirt which said "Life is Short. Bite Hard." How do I know Adolf and Parker were friends? Because they only snarled and tried to bite one another for about 20 minutes before finally settling down and resting in opposite corners of the room. Of course, it helped a lot that Miss P could (literally) run circles around the short-legged weiner dog, who generally ended these encounters huffing and puffing so hard he could hardly bark, much less bite. But to his credit, Adolf was a fantastic companion for his rescuer...even though he never did quite master the concept of "housebroken" either....

That is the cutest image I have had all day. I LOVE Adolf! Was he named after the meat tenderizer?
